Hi

I'm new to this board so be gentle with me.

I have bought and fitted my new bundle from OC's which is...

Bundle Specification:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 Hex Core 1055T 2.80GHz

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2 (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard - RAM: 4GB DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel

Cooler: AMD Stock Cooler.

I've had to purchase a new SATA re-writer and SATA Hard drive due to my old components being too old and decrepit.

The problem I'm having is it seems to be power, the current PSU is just 430watts; is that sufficient power to power the m/board etc etc.

When I try to install Windows I'm getting weird things going on with the screen, if the power it's receiving is not sufficient will it interfere with the boot up.

I can't find any advice in the m/boards booklet re: PSU requirements only that 500watts PSU or higher is needed if the expansion slots are taken up.

Your help will much appreciated on the matter.

Thanks in advance.

hey, welcome to the forum, are you using a graphics card in the PCI-E slot?

What types of "weird things" are happening? And what PSU do you have? 430W should be ok for that setup...
Reviews show that your setup should only hit around 300W.
