hello all

im in desperate need of a new computer,
one that will play all the latest games, its basically just for gaming and downloading movies and music and such, thats all i really use it for.ive only had 1 pc before and my knowledge is very limited,i would not be able to make it myself so would need it shipped to me ready to use with vista installed :) it must also be able to run the 2 monitors i have(my current pc cant run 2 monitors at once :( ),and also would be nice if there was a wireless reciever built into it for the wireless broadband, and it must be good enough to last me for roughly 4 years if possible, ill need a case, a graphics card, ,the lot.. there is however a budget of about 750 pounds,i could possibly stretch that a little but not too much, hopefully there is something i could get in this price range,im certainly not lookin for a super top of the range system hehe just what i can afford but hopefully thats enough to get me a decent rig, anything new im sure is better then my 4 year old pc atm..

could anyone help me with what i need and point me in the right direction please :) will want to buy it within the next 2 weeks,as i said my computer knowledge isnt all that good so im relying on someone with better experience then me to tell me what i need :)

im pretty serious as in i dont like to lag and be killed lol :)

but there is other computers in the house so we need the wireless, plugging it in also is not an option, not for the moment at least as there is not a phone line in my room,so id have to run wires down the stairs into the living room if i wanted to plug into the modem, wont hurt to have the wireless card in it ,could be possible to get a phone line into my room within next few months i suppose but untill then wireless will have to do :)

thanks for all the replys guys, really appreciate it

Could use a pair of home plugs to work round the wireless problem if the router can't move.

what are home plugs , never heard of em? i can in the next few months get a phone point put into my room and then move the router into my room

hello again minatour, may i ask do you own anything you can use on this computer or will it require keyboard, mouse & speakers? Any preferences on anything such as case style? (do you like flashy blue things or a bit more subtle?). As for running two monitors most graphics cards have two outputs for this. May i ask what resolution are the two monitors you are running?

sure..

i have a keyboard and speakers and a mouse so i wont need these in my new build..

as for the case, it would be nice to have soemthing flashy blue but if that will bring the costs outside my budget then something subtle will be no problem at all, im more concerned on how the pc works rather then how it looks :)

as for the 2 monitors, 1 is a dell 19 inch that i got with my pc, it says the resolution is 1024 x 768 75hz
optimum 1280 x 1024 60 hz

the second monitor is a 20 inch acer widescreen i purchased 1 month ago.
resolution 1600 x 900 (max) hope this helps

Building it yourself is easy & lots of sites (see here) + the good people here there to assist/guide you :)

Recommend something like this...

hmmm i would feel very nervous attempting to build it myself hehe, would probly take me many days or trial and error trying to make things fit, trying to read instructions from websites and such, id feel much more safer and comfortable if it was possible to have it shipped to me with everything allready assembeld, mayb in the future if i need to upgrade parts or replace some i would have a tinker around with it,but building one from scratch i dunno lol :P

thank u very much for the items u linked,im having a loo kat them now, very good looking graphics card
