Help with my ping!

Hi guys I just recently installed a new Netgear wireless router (cable) thanks to some dudes from this forum

But now when i play games I get crazy pings on some servers when before I used to average 40 or lower? Is there something I need to do to allow this to run better? I already set up port forwarding for downloading...... Any help appreciated

Hi,

Your exact router type, specifics of the game you are running and details of any other PC using the connection at the time would help ? Specific port forwarding for each game may be needed to get a good connection. Also try a tracert to the server in question and tell us what that comes back with ?
