Got a q6600 go on an IP-35 pro and trying my hand at overclocking. Oh, the memory is 4x1gb ballistix pc-6400

At stock the VID on the CPU was 1.2875.
Idle Temp was 35,35,32,33
Load Temp was 54,54,50,51

I have tried a clock and running prime now with the following done

C1E and EIST Disabled.
Cpu 350mhz x9 = 3150mhz
Vcore voltage = 1.3275v
MCH = 1.33
RAM = 2.2v - as per recommendation of manufaturer.
CPU VTT = 1.23

Idle Temp now 43,43,38,38
LOAD 62,62,59,60

Seems to be stable to me running prime for 10 minutes. I tried exactly the same settings above but with a 378x9 to get 3.4ghz but I got blue screen on boot saying some IRQ less error or something. Wrote it down but lost the piece of paper. Too scared to try the setting to reproduce the error.

I really want to get to 3.4ghz or 3.6ghz. Any suggestions on what I would need to change. Should I push the CPU voltage up? Just dont want to do anything stupid and kill my CPU/

Also interested to know how hot these CPU's can go. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

I've now pushed it to 1.35 vcore and 360*9 3240mhz

Getting 65 degrees LOAD under coretemp and 60 degrees under Real Temp 2.24. Which is the correct monitor???

Are these temps too high?

Temp wise I would personaly keep it under 70c full load, which one to beleive don't know :o average the two :p
