Hi Folks.

I’m going to build a two new gaming PC’s and would like guidance on whether I am buying the best I can within my budget.

The things I can’t figure out:
Is the motherboard good (I have always used Gigabyte)
Which cooler to use?
Which RAM to use?
Whether I needed to buy cables etc.?
I would like the colour inside the case to be red if I have to buy them.

My total budget was circa £1300

Thanks for any help.

This is what I have at present

Hi fellas and thanks for the replies.

1. Am I worth spending for the i7 or is the i5 a better option?
2. Pioneer writer is a must I'm afraid, I've had nothing but problems every time I try a different brand.
3. 8gb or 16gb of memory, is there a benefit to 16?
4. Water cooled.... ooh I'm scared. never used one before. Are they easy to fit?

Argh. I showed my spec to a mate and he chucked a spanner into the works.
He reckons I should use the SSD, HD, PSU, DVD Writer and Win8.1 I already have and free up more money for one of the machines.

would this be a good addition

Hi

SSD is a Samsung 840 Pro, PSU is a Cooler Master 750, the CPU is the one listed above now.

You see the two Corsair types I have listed, whats the difference between them?
