My QPAD MK-90 keyboard is starting to fail. I'm getting double keystrokes on a few keys and the number lock light is boned. I'm probably going to see if I can replace the double stroking keys, but I'm also preparing to replace it anyway (and give it to the kids). Nice keyboard with Kailh Reds, totally crap customer service from QPAD.

There is a huge array of keyboards. I want to keep full size as I use the number pad. I've seen you can get add-on number pads for tkl boards but they always look a little, odd? I want to keep with ISO/UK layout. I like the idea of a keyboard that you can easily replace the switches, so I've been looking at the Glorious GMMK 105 key ISO barebones with a set of Kailh Reds and probably either the Glorious Aura Caps or the Glorious ABS Doubleshot Caps so a total price of ~£140-£150. I might change the switches, I do find the Kailh Reds a little light at times, getting key presses when I'm just resting my fingers on the keys.

What else is there/should I be looking at around that kind of price? I'm not fussed by macros (had them on my Logitech G15, QPAD MK85 and MK90, never used 'em) or screens/displays or media buttons. LED lighting is a must, as gaudy as possible with as much customisation as humanly possible :p and something sturdy would also be nice. Looks are as important as build quality (I'm vain, bite me) USB passthrough and mic/headphone jacks would be nice, but not a deal breaker (Don't think the GMMK above has those anyway).

Fire away with any suggestions/ideas! Ta :)

edit: just noticed that the above kb has no wrist rest, so would have to budget for one. Here's an example of "looks" the steelseries Apex 7 That has own brand switches though

Any thoughts/ideas on this? Thinking about a set of blacks instead of reds as maybe the Kailh reds I've got are a little light like I said, or maybe they're just worn out, or maybe a brown tactile? I may order the combi pack of switches to feel the differences.
After reading tons of stuff I'm considering Gaterons instead if I do stick with liners, and yes, I'll more than likely lube them before installing them lol
Cheers :)

What about the Akko Mod 003/004 or the Keychron offerings? They have RGB and Hotswap, allowing you to use different types of switches.
I'll have a closer look at those, thanks. The Akko 003/004 looks nice, but seems to be ANSI layout only I think, as is the Keychron C2 and K10 wireless offerings. Maybe I'll have to move away from ISO layout or go for something other than fullsize!
