Hi, I'm hoping the knowledgable members of this forum can hep me to spec a new PC.
I've got up to £550 to spend, but that must include the monitor. I'm presuming I can avoid the cost of a new OS as I could use Windows XP, and upgrade to Vista if necessary later (for my use, I'm guessing it would just look nicer).
The PC will be used for running Propellerheads Reason 4 (for music production). I won't be needing a seperate soundcard with multiple inputs/outputs, just decent quality onboard sound.
I do however want a seperate graphics card for very occasional gaming - doesn't need to be supremely powerful however as most of my gaming is done on consoles.

Although I'm happy building PCs, and have done in the past, I'm finding myslef rather bewildered an indecisive with the array of bits available! This is especially the case with motherboards and cheaper graphics cards..

what size monitor and how much HDD space do you need?
