Hi all just need some help from you guys that know a lot more than me.

I need a new PC as last one broke...

Thinking of getting a Antec NSK 4480B with 380 watt PSU but thats all i know!

i dont mind (actaully i dont know) weather it should Intel or AMD as long as the price is right. Dont play many games but wouldnt mind if i could get a graphics card later on in the year so would need PCI-E or whatever the latest one is on the motherboard.

PLUS: would i need to get new HDD and optical drive as my old ones still work, but are IDE and I carnt seem to find motherboards with IDE anymore.

thanks!

what is your budget?

will you overclock

what is the main purpose of the PC

how many IDE devices are you talkign about?

budget is around 250 if i can still use my HDD and samsung drive both are the IDE devices i would be adding if possible.
Only have small knowledge on overclocking woudnt know how to properly. If it saves money then i woudnt.
Used for manily my Design work using CorelDraw 13 and Photoshop, however when i have time, i play a few games but could get a Graphics card later on in the year as not as important at the moment.

if you want any chance of gaming now, apart from the flash games, get at least the 2600 series.

you could also spend a bit more on the CPU, get the e2180 if you want.

the MB has 1 IDE connector so 2 IDE devices fan be used, however to save hassle you could get a SATA drive.

thanks very much! ive got a much clearer vision of what i want now, although 1 more question can i have nVidia or ATI graphics card or are they locked to certain MB?

Whichever you like. Doesnt matter. You can use them in any motherboard. The only thing you cant, is SLI and Crossfire. But they use 2 graphics cards and not a lot of people use it.

you can have any single graphics card by any company as long as there is no known compatibility issue ,it is the correct socket, your PSU can supply enough power and have the right conectors needed for the card (there are adaptors to help in that area)

ok thanks for the info :D will i need any new cables or anything small like that and will i deffinatley need a graphics card or can i run through MB for a while till i get 1?
