help with new set up please

Hi there

I have a newish set up and need help with timings, core unlocking and general questions if I may, sorry i am a little confused.

So I have the following:

crosshair formula IV
amd phenom II 1090t
G.Skill Ripjaws-X 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Crucial SSD

should i just put all to auto in the bios? I have played around with it a little but now says only 5 cores unlocked. I have downloaded turboV evo, should i have done this or is it better to do all manually. Do i need to change the timings of the ram in the bios and if yes to what please?

any guides you can point me to would be great or any help even better. Thanks for your help

Thats weird, you shouldn't have to unlock any core on that at all.

How many core pop up in task manager in windows?

i changed ram recently, should i reset the bios and start again?

Ok cleared CMOS, now all cores unlocked. Should I change Any ram settings?

other than setting the ram to 6.66 multi to give you 1333MHz leave it alone. You don't need to overclock a setup like this. :cool:

ps. do i install turbo unlocker and all that software or just leave it?
