Hi all, please can anyone offer any advice on my overclock please and if this is OK what ive done :D

I have a gigabyte P55-UD5 latest bios, running a core i5 750 and 8gb gskill ripjaw 1600mhz 7-8-7-24 ram, and a sapphire 5970 and coolermaster 932 case.. corsair h50 cooler

I currently set the bios settings:

Cpu ratio 21 * 190… I cannot get the board to boot at 200 and have to leave turbo boost enabled to get the 21 to be available
Cpu thermal monitor enabled
Disabled C1E and c3/C6/C7 settings
XMP disabled
Memory multi 8* to give 1520mhz
Pci exp 100mhz
Cpu clock drive and pci express clock drive 900mV
Memory performance enhance = standard
Set quick settings for memory and changed to 8-8-8-24

Voltages
1.4v for chip
qpi/vtt = 1.34
pch core = 1.1v
cpu pll = 1.9v
dram 1.64v

The machine is stable and does 1m PI in 10.499 seconds, the corsair h50 is superb and after 2 hrs prime its 61degrees max

I thought I would be able to overclock the memory a bit but the next multi is 10 * and if I change it to that the board wont boot. If I enabled xmp the board wont boot. I wonder if its because I have 4 sticks?
rather bizarrely if i change to 7-7-7-24 its a slight bit slower than 8-8-8-24

Thanks for any advice

Chris

Hi Liam,

My QPI ratio is 36 i dont know if to change that or not... im using coretemp64 for the temp monitoring and prime95.. im running the test again to make sure i used the correct one for the most heat :)
