Hi All,

I have seen some of the guides that are stickied to the forum and thats cool.

I would really like to know how overclock my CPU and get the most out of
it, all my system specs are in my sig, the only thing that is not listed there
is that I have a H100 CPU cooler so temps should be ok if I put an Overclock
on my system.

Thanks guys.

Yh,but try more vccio for the memory controller

You'll probably need more with 16gb and xmp won't adjust that voltage,if unstable try two/three clicks more CPU offset voltage

Each CPU will be different in how much CPU v or offset it needs

Ok will do, so If I just leave the settings you have given me to start off with then
run Prime95 for like half hour and see if it crashes or anything and monitor my temps
and if its fine then leave it.

But if it crashes or anything like that just raise my CPU offset voltage up a little bit?

Yh,just up it one/two clicks a time, makesure the first two digits are 0 so not to overvolt CPU

So +0.0

So I tried to overclock this morning, copied the settings mate and everything seemed fine
temps where good on idle at 30-34 and CPU-Z was showing everything as it should.

As soon as I clicked run test on Prime95 my system froze and I got a blue screen.

Does this mean I need more CPU Offset to stop it from doing that.

Ok so upped it to +0.020v this time I ran Prime95 and it was fine for about 20
seconds then I got the error message whea_uncorrectable_error.

This is doing my head in now cous really want to get a stable overclock and its not
working lol.

Could this be to do with one of the intel power saving options which is causing it to
BSOD?
Also I have seen on the net that it could be because to get 4.5ghz stable you will need
at least 1.25 on the Vcore?

where are you with load cpu voltage? look in cpu-z when stressing

just keep adding few clicks more offset till your stable,it depends on each cpu some need more/less voltage

and no, power saving shouldn't affect stability, mines fine

that error means more cpu v

Ok then mate I will add some more CPU offset, I had it at +0.020 and it did the error
so i will put it to .030 see what happens then.
