Hi guys, i've read a few threads on overclocking but still do not understand it completely. I want to overclock my CPU to preferably to 4.5GHz. I have a 3570k Ivy Bridge CPU and Z77X-UD5H Gigabyte MotherBoard. Need help to over clock. Also I don't understand why we increase the FSB instead of CPU ratio. Could someone give me a link to a video for this or Step by Step instructions.

You dont increase FSB or BCLK as it is called on these chips it will not respond well at all to increased Bclk.

All you need to do is increase the CPU ratio. Take it one step at a time and check its stable. When it becomes unstable just raise CPU Vcore voltage a little.

For 4.5GHz you should not need to do anything more than adjust the CPU ratio and probably the CPU voltage a little.

hi what program should i use to monitor right now im using occt? also at 100% it says 4.5GHz reaches 74 degrees. Is that bad? if so is there any way to put it down? BTW my cpu cooler is Corsair H100
