I have never really overclocked graphics cards before.

My question is I have 2 BFG 8800 GTX OC2 and wish to OC them a bit.
How do I go about this, because there are three clocks.
Core, mem and shader.

1. Do I need to abide by any sort of ratio's;
2. OC'ing which clocks give better results?
3. Best program to overclock these?
4. if you have a similar set up, what are you cards clocked at (*stable)?

your help is appreciated.

Mine's clocked to 626 factory.
It goes POP at 630.

Remember it IS just an ordinary 8800GTX, they've just fscked with the default clocks.

Yeah I know, just a different BIOS which pushes up the default clocks to 626/1450/2000 - but can I go further than this though!??:confused:

Most 8800GTX's dont make it past 621Mhz on the core.
When set to 626 the core will actually be running at 621Mhz.
Setting the core clock past 630 causes it to run at 648Mhz.
This is a bridge too far for most 8800's

Core speeds do not increment in 1Mhz steps but rather in multiples of 27Mhz.
