HELP PLEASE:)
Overclocking i5 760 on Asus P7P55D
4 gb corsair XMS3 9-9-9-24
-----------------------------------
Dear Overclockers friends...
i'am looking for some fine tuning on my rig
any help and tip about voltages are very, very welcome.
I have tried different overclocks from 3.6 ghz to 4.0 ghz
with speedstep on (turbo boost off)
I want to have the cpu voltage as low as possible to contain temperatures at about 75c.(full load) and below 35 idle.
The voltage setting Info below come from a forum, I hope the friend who wrote it will not mind if I use it here.
..............................................................................
Voltage settings
CPU voltage mode: [Offset]
Offset voltage: [0.09375], results in a maximum/minimum voltage of 1.208/0.968
Offset sign: [+]
IMC/VTT: [1.14375] ~1.45-1.5 read out
DRAM volt: [1.6625] ~1.65 read out
PLL volt: [1.8250]
PCH volt: [1.1]
Load line calibration: [Enable]
CPU speed spectrum: [Enable]
Load line calibration: [Enable]
...............................................................................

1:CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN THE OFFSET SIGN "+" or "-" ?
IN ORDER TO KEEP VOLTAGES DOWN AND USE THE SPEED STEP SHOULD I APPLY THE "+"or"-" SIGN,(to allow the voltage to go down together with multipliers when CPU is idle) what the difference?
I WANT TO KEEP THE CPU Voltage @1.3000 (MAXIMUM) OR LOWER IF POSSIBLE

2:ABOUT THE VOLTAGES OF :PLL,PCH IMC/VTT.DO I NEED TO APPLY MORE VOLTAGES?OR IF I LEAVE THEM AT AUTO,WILL THE MOBO WILL RAISE THE VOLTAGES BY ITS OWN?
ON MY 3.6 AND 4GHZ OVERCLOCK I DID NOT CHANGE THEM AND THE RIG WAS 100%STABLE.

The offset is just what is says. How much you are offsetting the voltage by.
ie if your stock voltage is 1.1v and you offset by +0.1000. you final core voltage will be 1.2v.

What you need to do is find out what your stock core voltage is and subtract that from the voltage you want and that will give you your + offset
