Help with partitions

Hi all,

I have two partitions, one with Vista on that I am currently using and the other with Server 2003 on.

I want to format the server 2003 partition and merge it with the vista one without having to remove the vista data.

Is this possible and if so how?

I've tried the extend partition but it doesn't give me that option. Have also tried this using diskpart.exe.

The server 2003 drive is completely formatted now so doesn't contain anything. I have re-installed Vista but even during the installation with both drives empty, it doesn't give me the option to merge the partitions together.
