Hi all,

So I'm upgrading from an Alienware X51 as I'm now using Triple XL2420XT Monitors and need to SLi to get the performance across all screens that I am after.

So what I've decided on,

YOUR BASKET
1 x EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £319.99
1 x NZXT Phantom 820 Enthusiast Full Tower Case - White £199.99
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £179.99
1 x OCZ ZX Series 1000W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £159.98
1 x GeIL EVO Corsa 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C10 2133MHz Quad Channel Kit (GOC316GB2133C10AQC) £99.95
1 x Phanteks PH-TC14PE CPU Cooler - Orange (Socket 775 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £69.98
Total : £1,047.59 (includes shipping : £14.75).

I also already have HDDs and an SSD to chuck in it.

What I can't decide on, is the Motherboard and the Heatsink. I was looking at the Phantek's Cooler as I've read good things about it.

What would you suggest? I don't want it to block the PCI-e Slot, which seems to be a common problem with big heatsinks. Do you have any recommendations on the board I should use with the Heatsink + Sli. I will be looking at going Triple SLI next month and an Revo Card, hence I spec'd the 1000w PSU.

Also, what RAM would you recommend?

My budget is around £1400 all in.

Any advice?

I'm looking for suggestions on the above.

The important things that I will not change.

I want a GTX670 - Already have one, so need to pair it in SLi
Case must be well ventilated - I don't want a tonne of noise.
I'm looking For intel Builds.

Everything else - I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions, with £1400 being the MAX (Including Shipping) That I can afford this month.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Will this case and Mobo allow for a Revo Card and Triple SLI? It's ATX only isn't it, so I was worried it was a bit small. Great first suggestion though, thank you.

Just to add - I'd be wanting to Overclock the GPU's and CPU - Is the airflow / Cooling adequate in this case?
