hey!

hopefully this is the right place to ask.

I just picked up some desktop speakers ( Ruark Audio mr1 mk2).

I have them connected to the optical out on my tv ( samsung qn90b )

With my ps5 everthing is fine. However when I'm connected to my PC ( hdmi to tv ) the audio will cut in and out. When listening to music via youtube its not so often, but still happens ( when im on the web ).

When im playing a game, it keeps dropping in and out, every couple of mins.

Any ideas how to fix this? I figure its to do with something loading.

Thanks!

Not 100% sure if this will give you a solution but you can try this.

On your PC go into Settings>System>Sound>More sound settings

Find the Optical Out or your Sound Card under the Playback tab

Click Properties>Advanced and then change the default format to 16bit 48khz (DVD Quality) and see if that makes any difference

I know this was like 2 years ago BUT THANK YOU. I had started getting this crackle on explosion noises and it seems like at some point the default format had changed.
