Help with PC spec

Hi all,

Looking for some help/pointers.....

Looking to spec up a new system that will predominantly be using for running VMs and music processing, therefore RAM (more the better) and CPU is the priority. I don't do any gaming so graphics is not an issue.

I've got a budget of £1,000 which does not include case, monitor or OS.

I've always had AMD, but not sure if Intel is the way forward these days?

Any help is appreciated

with youre budget I would look at an intel build.

what case are you planning on using? as this would help for motherboard choice
