Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me out and advise me on how to squeeze out more FPS in games on my ageing system.

My current system is

Windows XP
Intel Pentium D 2.66ghz (Smithfield)
3.3GB Ram (Actually 4GB, but 32bit windows)
GEForce 9500 GT

I game at 1360x768.

The main reason I want to upgrade is because of SWTOR and when I tried the beta my system could only manage a couple of FPS. I would just like to be able to play it with a tolerable frame rate.

My current budget is up to £140.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post!

Ah, thanks a lot for your advice stulid, I think I'll try that and then upgrade the CPU/RAM/Mobo when I can afford it.

Use driver sweeper to clear the nvidia drivers and the install Ati catalyst drivers for the card, or you could do a clean windows reinstall.

Also prepare to need a sata hdd and optical drive for a new motherboard as they only have sata connectors these days
