Help with posting pictures

I have always wondered how people put up their photo's in threads but aint got a clue how to do it so that you can instantly see it in the thread....so how's it done? thanks

You can upload it to a photo site such as Photobucket or Tinypic then use [IMG*]http://www.thesite.com/hi.jpg[/img]
(Without the *)

I use imageshack majority of the time, upload your photo, choose the option to resize to 1280 I think it is, there is a drop down menu when you upload.

Once the photo is uploaded they will provide the link to copy and paste

Go onto an image hosting website such as imgur

Then, either drag the picture to it, or click computer and find the image you want to upload. Once you've done this, the picture will upload and will take you to a page with all the links. On the right side, the one you want to copy is the direct link. Highlight this, then copy it.

You can now paste this link, but it needs to have the IMG and /IMG (with square brackets around them) at the front and end like so:
