Help with powerpoint

I've put a video as the background to a presentation. Is there any way to keep it running across more than one slide? As of yet, powerpoint seems to need the video link reinserted in every new slide and it restarts accordingly.

The only way would be to have it on one slide but have the next few slides content all in the same slide but animated in at different times.
