help with ps2>usb drivers

Ive just bought this...

and it seems to work ok, but sometimes it misses quick button presses. I remember somewhere hearing that theres no need to install the drivers that come with these type of controller converters and let windows install its own for best performance, is this correct?

any advice would be helpful

Not sure on that model of adapter, but the one I've got from a place which shall not be named. The windows drivers are better.

The version i got from a well known store, their own brand one, i just plugged in, windows faffed around for 10 seconds and away i went.

No messing. I love it, perfect for GTA and Prince Of Persia etc!

youre right that there is a certain version of ps2 to usb adapter that has very bad drivers and windows drivers are a lot better. but ive not heard the same about that thing youve got. try installing the drivers, just make sure you create a restore point first.
