Hey guys,

Looking to build a new system for gaming (would like to be ready for ARMA3 and the DayZ standalone on highest setting).

So......after lots of helps from you guys on here, this is that I'm thinking.

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI HD 7950 Twin Frozr III OC V2 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE Sleeping Dogs PC Game £263.99
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £163.99
1 x MSI Z77A-G43 Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £71.99
2 x GeIL Black Dragon 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (GD38GB1600C11DC) £23.99 (£47.98)
Total : £559.94 (includes shipping : £10.00).

But will also need a PSU!

Have gone a little over my original £400 upgrade budget, in favour of a whole new build so any extra savings now are a godsend.

As would love to hear if this build will be up-to the gaming task, and last a while....any changes I should think of?

At 100 posts you would get free P&P to help with the cost bud. If you wanted to grab some extras later on perhaps ;)

"All in" if you cant wait. The i5K is going at a great price, would be a shame to miss the offer. You could use the MSI mobo to shave costs. Remove the heatsink, you would have to check it fits your case (its 163mm tall i think).

The nvidia GPU is cheaper but still performs well, some games favour nvidia, BF3 for one. It aslo adds cuda support to assist the CPU with other software for video editing or encoding etc. You get HDAO lighting (pretty shadows) or SSAO. AMD cards just offer SSAO.

Hope this helps

What is the make and model of your current Psu?
You only need 8gb ram for gaming.

Was going to keep my PSU in my current rig, and just move the old PC into my workshop....so will need a new one for this build.

Thank for the 8GB tip, that save me a bit :)

YAY almost half way, will try and avoid the temptation to spam upto 100 posts!

Yes, its a really good price on the i5.

Was thinking of useing the stock cooler and not overclock the i5 till iv got the £ for a after market air cooler or H100.

Will take a look at the 660, but been quite impressed with the OC numbers from the 7950....but it is 30% more £!

Thank you for your help!
