Help with ram timings

Just built a new computer using an intel e5300 and 2x1gb of kingston hyperx. It says it will run at 4/4/4/12 but if I set it at these timings it refuses to boot. Even if I go plus 0.4volts on the ram it then boots but crashes. Any ideas. Runs fine at 5/5/5/18.

Hi. Tested 1 stick and it booted straight away and ran a few games ok. Put the other stick in on its own and it blue screened straight away. Time to send the ram back I think. Thanks for the help.
