Help with ram ?

Just got some new memory Corsair xm52 extreme memory 2 by 2 gb. Have 1GB x 2, Ballistix 240-pin DIMM, DDR2 PC2-6400 already installed. When i check the ram on my pc is only reading 5gb when it should be reading 6gb. my mobo is Asus P5N-T Deluxe any help guys

Are you sure you're not just reading Available ram ?

its on the control panel im reading it installed memory

Run CPU-Z and see if it can detect the hidden stick?

5120 mbs it says its single channel tho :S
