help with ready nas?

hey guys,

I have a ready ans at work and every now and again someone manages to lock a file and I'm then unable to determine who has it open and therefore I can't close it.

Does anyone else have a setup similar to this?

What do you do to be able to unlock files and kill sessions?

Ideally, I'd like to add the parent share to the server 2003 shared folders in the mmc so I can see who has what open.

Any ideas, as I'm stumbled.

in case anyone else wanted to know,

install the plugin 'enable root access' and then once loged in run smbstatus to view currently connected users and thier PID's then kill -9 [PID] to kill that process.
