Hi i currently wanting to upgrade my pc for a eyefinity setup,

Current Specs

Asus P7P55D-E Mobo
i5 2.80Ghz @ 4Ghz
Corsair A50 Cooler
XFX 6850 Black Edition
2 x 2Gb Corsair Dominator RAM
650 Antec TruePower Modular PSU
Antec 900 Case
Creative Sound Blaster 7.1 Sound Card
500Gb Seagate Barracuda

I'm looking to upgrade my case to a Full sized case

- Case

Add another 6850 Black Edition (Crossfire)

----------------------------------------

Possibly add another 4Gb RAM

----------------------------------------

Reason for Upgrade -
Eyefinity
Ultra Settings on Newer Games and Current Games (WoW, CSS, CoD, BFBC2 etc)

Just wondering if anyone here can review my choices, and if i would need to upgrade PSU to allow for second GFX card.

Thats a bummer, as the second 16X slot on the board operates at 4X speed while the top slot runs at 16X

1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single at x16)
1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (@x4 mode, 2.5GT/s, black slot)

This means the two cards get different bandwidth.

To make it worse, if any of the 1XPCI-E slots are occupied (soundcards/TV tuners etc) then the second slot drops further to a 1X speed.

* The second PCIe x16 slot (black) and the three PCIe x1 slots share the bandwidth from the Intel® PCH. When any of the PCIe x1 slots is occupied, the second PCIe x16 slot will be switched to x1 mode.
