I need some serious help. Iv got to return my board and I can't seem to remove it. There is one screw stuck in the board that I can't remove. What tool do I need to remove this thing? Please provide links so I can buy the tool. I need this out asap!https://ibb.co/Mk2gNLf

a picture tells a thousand words

My guess is the standoff is turning with the screw?

looked at the picture, wtf was the motherboard pushed through the standoff? (and that looks like a extra long one)

I dunno. It was ages since I built it and i don't remember why that thing is there instead of a screw like all the others. I just need to know what tool I need to remove it with. It looks like an Alan key but I dunno what type as its a cylender type shape. And there is no screw on it that a screwdriver can remove. Anything from amazon? I'm desperate and I can't return this until its out of the case.

If using pliers, just be careful to not damage anything around it.

Usually you should have a nut that goes on top of it and then you use a Philips screwdriver to remove it.

Most cases supply one with the tools included, also some Lian Li vertical support for GPUs include it.

If you have removed all the other screws, try lifting the board out.

I have had the same problem before (but with a screw stuck) and the standoff unscrewed from the motherboard tray.

I used a pair of mole grips to hold the standoff so it would not slip.

Yeah tiny pairs of mole grips/locking pliers
Are must have tools for me
Got some with straight jaws, curved jaws
And needle nose
Get you out of tricky situations
Things you can't stop spinning with normal pliers
They grip them rock solidly

would be difficult if the standoff was in the middle of the board (or part where the case is in the way) , you'd need some very long nose thin pliers to get under the board. If it's just the ones around the PCB where you can access it

Yeah if its in the middle
Time to get the drill out and drill it
From rear of the case

But theirs is at the bottom of the board

I even have a set of 90 degree needle nose
So if can't fit the tiny mole grips under Around the edges
I use those

If that thing in the middle of the photo is hollow, is there a regular screw at the bottom of it?

Also, is it properly stuck or just spinning freely?

Actually
If all the others can be removed
And assuming it's the usual the standoff under the motherboard
Is turning at same time
You could remove all the others
Then that one should come out of the motherboard tray
Still attached
Then you can get to it

It’s similar to the motherboard standoffs, but longer. I have similar with one of Lian Li GPU support, and simply using the nut that fits on top of it, and using a Philips screwdriver should work, even if the actual standoff behind it is turning together. All that needs to be done is get the motherboard out, of the standoffs are stuck together and then use a plier. Easier doing in two people, for better control.

The required tool is the one next to the standoffs.
