Help with RMA of my R9 290 ?

Hello all,

I am experiencing the "Black Screen" issue with my new r9 290, I just received the card last weekend and am getting this crash after 5-6min of playing BF4. I am running the latest drivers ect.

This seems to be very common on units with Elpdia RAM chips

Is there anyone on this forum who can help me with the RMA of this unit ? and maybe get one that has the less affected Hynix RAM ?

Wow, these 290's/X's with black screen problems is crazy. It must cost the etailers a fortune in posting them off.

Well its 100% a RAM issue afaik.

On another card (with the same issue) I dropped the RAM clocks by 10% in CCC and it became totally stable with no errors at all (Elpdia RAM again).

On stock clocks that one wouldn't even get through the first test in 3DMark

Same issue here, never done an RMA before.

How is an RMA tested?

If I send my R9 290 in and they can't get it to "black screen" which is so random do I end up getting my faulty card back?
