Help with router vpn set up

Hi peeps I’m new here and I’m trying to set up a tp-wr940n router with vpn connected to a sky fibre q box but I just want a android box and two smart non android TVs connected to it I also have ipvanish subscription but don’t have a clue how to set up could someone help me would be greatly appreciated thanks

I just need it to view iptv and maybe some music downloads etc
Prob is I think this is version six

Or would a raspberry pi be better

Or what would be a cheap option for something better
