So i recently bought a second tv (samsung 50" plasma) nothing fancy just to use for the PS3 and also connected to a HTPC to play music and films in the "den"
however im having a few problems with the settings which are starting to bug me and i cant seem to find the right setup to solve them
Basically there are two major problems
1. Playing media from the HTPC - on the other setup in the house, more or less the same equipment with a different TV, i can play the music/films through an sound settings (mono,stereo,DTS etc) however on the new setup it will only play through both speakers (MS 916i) if its on Mono, anything else will only play through one speaker
2. there are times when i want to go on the PS3 while listening to music on the HTPC, the ps3 is connected through the HDMI and the pc sound is played over RCA cable to the AV unit, which i believe is the same with the "family" setup in the living room
am i missing something obvious? or is it simply not do-able ?
