Help with setup

hi all

Would appreciate any help. Having had some experience of Sony PSVR I was thinking of going for an oculus or the HTC but to do this need to buy a PC as well. I could go laptop but the hardware is more expensive than desktop.

If I go desktop do I have to buy a screen or can I connect the hdmi out on the graphics card to my LG Oled and use that as a primary monitor? I really don’t want a screen and this Pc will only be used for gaming.

Thanks for any advice.

PS. Is the experience with either of the above systems better than PSVR

Thanks all. Never considered the Windows MR platform and know nothing about it. Will head to google!

Why do you need two hdmi points on a graphics card?

Re space in the room I do have a space of about 3m by 3m to play in.

Thanks. Just had a demo of the oculus. In my opinion the picture is sharper than what we get on the PSVR at the moment. The climb demo freaked me out! Looking at PCs. Some are coming with the windows mixed reality headset thrown in. I assume this is worth having not instead of the oculus or HTC but as well

Thanks again for all the help everyone. Oculus has been ordered along with a pc with an i7 processor and GTx 1070 card and 16gb ram. Both are delivered tomorrow.
