HELP WITH SOUND!

I just installed an nVidia 8400gs graphics card and now my sound isnt working?
On the sound tab its showing that the sound is there. I just updated the Realtek and nVidia drivers but still no sound?

P.S. Didnt know where to put this thread as it requires advice from graphics card and sound

Tried rebooting? Sounds stupid but the amount of problems that have been fixed by it...

Control panel, then click on sound, what device is ticked for playback?

I had this when I installed my 6950, I had to reinstall my sound card drivers, it's been fine since.

Last time i had that I went to device manager & uninstalled all sound device's, reboot and re-installed the sound drivers again. Always worked for me

Check device manager for driver issues - yellow exclamation marks etc.

Try rolling back the drivers or restore the system setting back to a previous resore point and try again. There may be a conflicting driver. If it works with older drivers then i would stick with them and update the display drivers later.

If it's a discreet sound card, then try re-seating.

Turn off mute

Where do I find my current drivers and how can I find out what my current Intergrated Sound card is so I can go and get the latest drivers?
