Hi,

I would be most gratefull for comments on this spec:

Heavy multitasking office use, video editing etc. No gaming, but i'm going to try my hand at overclocking.

with an X2 you likely to get better performance from CAS2 PC3200 ram than what you've specced.
Id go for a 4400+ (due to it having more cache) and save money elsewhere.. probably by swapping the raptor for something else... do you really need a raptor? if not the hitachi drives are fast!

Don't go with the 4200 its not worth the extra cash, if you want to try your hand at clocking then go with the 3800 you can clock it to the same speed as the 4800 pretty easy from what I have heard.
The 4400 has more cache then the 3800 but still I don't know if thats worth the extra money, however if you are going to buy an X2 then go for the 3800 or the 4400.
Personally I would say the 3800 as it is a nice price, its a powerfull cpu and it has a lot of potential.
