Hey :) this is my first build and have £420 to spend, I already have windows 7, monitor and dvd drive. Will mainly be used for football manager and browsing the net. I didnt include a graphics card as i dont think I will make full use of it at the moment so it is something for the future.
Any help you can give to improve this would be much appreciated. Thanks

as per micky go with the 2500K, gigabyte mobo then add a BitFenix Shinobi Gaming Case, along with BeQuiet Efficient Power 600W '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply, Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2x2GB) memory, thats comes in under budget at £409.

out of interest what sort of graphics card are you thinking of getting ?

I was looking at the ati hd 6850 as I was reading somewhere here that it was a good card.

worth checking the prices when you order as a 6870 might only be £10 or so extra.

and with that i'd go for a better psu than in your original post a good quality 600-650w so you don't have to update it again if/when you decide to get the new gfx card.

thanks I will check the prices when I do get one. I tried changing the case and psu but not sure if its the ones you were talking about as it comes to more than £409.
