Hello, had the same shuttle for 3 years and trying to play Battlefield2142 yesterday was awful had to have everything in LOW detail.

Im a bit out of date when it comes to all the new hardware so thought someone on here could just give me a a spec list of what would be appropriate.

Current stuff:

P4 2.8
Radeon9800Pro
1Gb RAM

I need:

Shuttle system
CPU
Graphics Card
RAM

So yea just a bit old. I Don't need the best of the best that's out but something that will run current games well :D Thanks!

The warning about the PSU is to make allowances for the fact that some people will run them on generic PSUs which are simply not capable of supplying their rated output for an extended period of time. The Shuttle PSUs are well known for being very good and provided it fits into the case will easily cope with the 8800GTS. :)

Ah right cheers matey, do you know how i can find out if it will fit lol?

Also are there any cheaper shuttles my £600 budget is looking a bit optimistic.

I've just checked in the SFF sub-forum and it seems that there are a few people with 8800series cards in the SD37P2, the next model down is the SD32G2 but it only has a 250w PSU so I think that an 8800series card may be pushing it a bit. It should cope fine with an X1950pro though, the saving on the Shuttle is ~£100 and about £70 on the graphics card if you really need to save the money. :)

Silly me, didn't see the SFF forum :)

Thanks again, muchly appreciated.

ok provisional spec what do you think?

Comes in at about £510 inc postage, but if you can suggest anything a little bit better for a little bit more im willing to go for it.

Tsk tsk, not ordering from OcUK. ;) Nah, it all looks fine, just check on the Shuttle website that it accepts the E6420 (I don't think there will be a problem but you never know). :)
