Hi,

Yesterday after waking up the pc i tried playing a aame (wot) . After 5 minutes of play game crashed with continuous sound and had to turn it off. From this point i never made to start the PC again! I tried resetting the cmos, but then the PC could not find an os. My system is
Windows7
Asrock p67 extreme4 (non b3)
I5 2400
Club3d 7970

Could anyone help restart the Windows and enlighten me why this happened

Thx

you reset CMOS, you have to go into your bios and select the correct drive for your OS instal for your machine to boot.

Goodmorning

When i reset the pc, i also configured the bios. I also tried the windows dvd but could not repair it.
Now i get a message bootmgr is missing...

Ok, i managed to get to windows starting with the windows dvd. I have a feeling i still have problems within the boot manager. How can I check this? Furthermore, this problem has happened 3 4 times in the past during the last 6 months always while playing a game. Why is it happening?

What is the make/model and power rating of your PSU? And how old is it?

Also running memtest would be a good idea.

Had this a few weeks ago, fixboot, fixmbr commands from recovery didn't work, used gparted to set my os drive as active boot, problem solved :)

Sounds like hard drive error!

Does it make any strange sounds? Do you have another to try?

Do a low level disk check if you can, I cannot pull out of my head the method but you can at f8 or some bios!!!

Just my 2p! ;)

Well its an ssd so not strange sounds...

There is definitively a problem here. I also had a BSOD error while serfing and in event logs I see this:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000009f (0x0000000000000003, 0xfffffa8007b68050, 0xfffff80000b9c3d8, 0xfffffa800fd6d010). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 050212-10982-01.

Unfortunately I cant find the file memory.dmp!! The only I managed to see in the BSOD was something of driver power state failure.

Sounds like the master boot record is corrupt on the main disk, you'll need to run fixmbr from the recovery console (google this, I can't recall exactly off the top of my head)
