Hi ive just ordered a E6300 45nm 2.8ghz chip.....

Now my prob is will it be compatible with my gigabyte N650sli-DS4L motherboard (latest bios).....

ive been reading the website and it says 65-90nm chips, but other forums some say the 45nm duals are ok but not quads...

does any1 know for definate if im going to be ok

(YES I KNOW I should have CHECKED FIRST) :)

Offical cpu support lists an E6300 but thats the old 1.86Ghz 65nm one. Does not look like it supports 45nm. However, the best advice i can give is to try it and see. I've got an E8190 overclocked to 3.4GHz on an old hat DS4 965P rev 1.0 which shouldn't technically boot with that chip ;) Works fine as my dads pc for ages now.
