Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post, so apologies if not.

Don't really know how to describe the problem really, here's a picture:

Hopefully you can make it out properly, the 'edge' of the screen is now about 1/3 of the way in. If i move the mouse to the left it will stop at that line. If i move the mouse right it will go 'off' the end and appear again on the other side of that side of the monitor and stop at the same line.

I've tried searching for the issue but not knowing what the problem is/called makes it hard to find any answers.

A little information i found says it may be due to overheating but the heat on mine don't seem to be too bad (although i don't have much knowledge on whats good/bad).

It does seem to happen only after the PC has been on for a while and if i restart it, it goes away for a bit but comes back after a much shorter period of time. I would say 3-4hours for it to initially happen, then after restarting it will come back after 30mins~.

This has only started happening the past 2 days, since i installed a new SSD, so im guessing its linked with that.

Any suggestions would be great, hopefully i explained it okay.
Thanks

Have you tried removing the SSD to see if it goes away ? If it goes away well it's your new SSD that maybe causing some problem, if so check if there is a firmware update for the SSD. Only way you will know it's the SSD is if you remove it again and the symptoms go away.

Have you also tried removing the graphics drivers and doing a full clean install of the drivers ?

Also you 100% sure it's not your monitor that is causing that ? Have you got another device you can connect to the monitor as a test too, to see if that happens on a different device.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I haven't got a spare graphics card at the minute so cant really try using a different one.
The SSD seems to have the latest firmware but I'll try removing it for a while and see if that changes anything.

First I'll try reinstalling the drivers like you said.

I'm pretty sure its not the monitor, I've connected a PS3 to it and it works fine.

If the worst case scenario happens and i have to buy a new graphics card, any suggestions on what to get? Currently have a Radeon HD 6870, could probably spend about £200. Hopefully it doesn't come to that though :(
