Hello guys, I'm new to the forum and I'd really like some of your opinions.

To cut a long story short I've been out for work for a few months but finally have a few job interviews next week (Hurrah!) and as a reward, if I am successful my partner is going to treat me to a brand new keyboard and mouse set up as a 'well done' gift but have no idea what to tell her I want.

Cost is irrelevant (I can pick anything I want) but equally I don't want to just buy the most expensive keyboard and mouse. Just a bit of back ground:

- I currently am using a well used Logitech G15 and razer death adder that I have had for a number of years. Both have serious wear and tear.
- I mainly play strategy and FPS games.
- I have no interest in Macro keys and rarely play MMO's.
- I mainly use a 'claw grip' for my Razer mouse but sometimes get pains in my fingers and thumb as I have nerve damage from a childhood accident on my mouse hand, I'd therefore like a mouse where I can have some customization and switch more to a 'palm grip'.
- I want a mechanical keyboard.
- Form factor is somewhat important, if I have no cost restrictions I may as well get something that looks cool.
- I often game in low light conditions so back lights for mouse and keyboard would be a big bonus, the keyboard in particular.

Any ideas or opinions from you guys of what to ask my partner to get for me would be much appreciated.

Cheers guys.

That mouse looks absolutely ridiculous. Not only that, it looks extremely uncomfortable.

What's making you choose that mouse?

Actually after doing my research I've decided to focus on a different mouse. My reason for picking the mouse was purely from a cosmetic standpoint. I've seen been looking at everyone suggestions and doing my research and am now considering the Corsair Vengeance M65 Laser Gaming Mouse
