Hey,

Got my first car today and just getting to know it a little but theres one thing bothering me. Its got a TOAD alarm either a Ai606 or Ai606LCV (written on user guide)

Everytime i lock the car it makes 4 high pitch beeps obviously making me aware its equipping alarm& immobilser BUT its so annoying is there any way to turn it off?

(i have looked in the manual but i cant find anything obvious referring to shutting the thing up)

I can lock the car by key and dont get any beeps but then i dont get any protection so id rather not do that..

Cheers for any help.

Edit, having read the manual again it says about 4 beeps referring to boot/bonnet. But im fairly sure they're 100% closed. So assuming the alarm sensors or something are playing up any way to stop the sounds all together. I still want to alarm it just i dont need the warnings when doing so..

It could also be a warning beep that there's objects near the car and this can affect the alarm - could set it off in other words.

My friend's Clio does it, although this is a Clifford.

On my old car with an Ai606 pressing button 3 before either lock or unlock makes it do it silently.

Cheers

Just went out to try that and it works...well i think it does (indicators flash when locking with button 3 then 2) but the central locking doesnt work at same time.

If i just press button 2 central locking works as well as alarm & imob. hmm.

Maybe ill have to alarm silently and just use the key.

I think one of your door switches may be knackered, 4 beeps definetly means a door is open. The 606 should beep twice to unlock and once to lock.

Yeap, thats what works

Would guess this as well, 4 beeps for arm is wrong, means it it is arming but one area is disarmed as there is a fault.
