I know this is router talk but the question falls in Linux catagy mainly. My Rt66U Router is running Tomato.

Now my question is I am alittle confused with it - it has a few built in programs like transmission f or torrents. My question is can I install custom software on there, let's say a Usenet grabber or some database originiser for movies?

Can I say telnet and apt-get? What programs are recommended for my router or ones worth trying out?

Here's a thread I found: http://www.linksysinfo.org/index.php?threads/install-programs-in-tomato.29545/

How the web ui looks (random ss)

Using Shibby - just finding my power lead now.

What I was thinking is having Music on the USB. Also TV rec, movies all on there - however stuff on computers, I was gunna mount it so the router shares all kinds of TV from multiple devices. Uses DNLA.

Back to the Q, it's Optware I aint to sure on, I'd like to learn this though though what would this come under if I wanted a book? Gunna get some Networkplus learning gear.
