Help with Trance event.

I'm trying to persuade the missus to come to a trance event with me. It's not usually our preferred style of music but i have a friend who says how great they are. I'll try anything once, and i'm sure after a few beers i'd enjoy it immensly.

I remember a few years ago a different friend showed me a video of a big trance event, it had the bright green strobe lights and, well, I can't really describe more as I don't know where/who it was.

I'm asking this; can anyone post a link or two, to some videos of big trance events. Really extravagent ones, so I can show her what it would be like (possibly...) I wouldn't mind seeing the videos, too.

I think it's a Gatecrasher event we will be going to. These any good?

Please help a trance noob.
 
Do you plan on going to gatecrasher in sheffield? Which event? I know they've got quite a few coming up. I'll most likely be at all/some of them. With regards Gatecrasher nightclub i've only ever been to an event called nu-crasher which is the first tuesday of every month and although not the peak of trance music they usually have some decent DJs. The atmosphere is always very friendly and the only other down side is that it finishes at 3am!!! Though for a first timer i doubt you'll be too concerned about that.

I am from Brizzle (Bristol) so will be going to the event round here. I don't know much about it really, I literally saw a sign the other day and it got me a bit interested.

Hmmm... not the best names, JFK isn't all that good though not terrible. I'm sure i've seen Stevie G before can't remember him though and not heard of the other 2.


This is a video of an event called Qlimax in Holland i think. OK this is hardcore music not trance but it's exactly tha same style thing as a trance event just different music and the visuals in this particular video are stunning. It's over 100megs but it's well worth the download just to see the laser show

You cant beat a good night of Trance, John Kelly is really good,
best night i've had in my home town was seeing him last year!

As above don't rate JFK tbh, but as its your "first" night im sure it
won't make too much difference at all, i mean you dont want to
go and see some massive names on your first night or it will spoil
everyone after it IMO.

Gatecrasher always put on a good light show so im sure the atmosphere
will be good, so long as its not a "dead night".
