Purchased a "Ultima Tyrannosaur" Intel Core i7 2700K 3.50GHz @ 5.00GHz DDR3 Sandybridge System from OCUK in November.

I seem to having the weirdest issue and thought I'd seek some help here.

System has worked seemlessly up until now really great however starting two days ago, once the system is booted and running Windows 7 - after around 20 minutes, pretty much regardless of what I'm doing, Windows does a really slow freeze, i.e Stops responding to mouse commands etc after a few seconds, then loading cursor appears then it just totally stops and then usually I will get a BSOD if I dont do a hard power off/restart.

Does anyone have any familarity with what could be happening? I have gone through all the forum posts on Google etc and nothing has helped. I have run Chkdisk and Memory diagnostics which come through fine.

Nothing has been installed or updated to my knowledge that may have caused the problem. I'd appreciate any help at all.

Thanks,
Matt

I have been running at stock speeds for a while now as I didnt feel the system needed the extra juice for what I was doing. I did a memtest and a chkdisk and they both came out clean! Thanks for the reply!

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2700K CPU @ 3.50GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580
Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (With Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit)
8GB DDR3 RAM
Maximus IV Extreme-Z Motherboard

I'm unsure if theres anything else I should note the product is no longer on the OCUK website.

And temperatures are great!

And drivers are all up to date! Apart from the BIOS which I wasnt sure about updating because its running fine after POST etc.

Ok I have managed to clear out some of the dust using compressed air there was abit in there so maybe that could be it.

Temps are all similar I think circa 30-35C for all four cores. (idle)

Yes it's still happening and I'm pretty much at a loss, I don't see it being a hardware issue as the computer runs absolutely perfectly up until that 20min mark..

Nothing at all in event viewer? If so it might be the main disk if its not writing to it when BSOD'ing. List the system specs.

Justintime, I can't open your link either. Can open nirsof.net, but not utils or blue screen view.

Fuzzo, is that what's happening with you too?

I was able to use the program ok, theres just no dumps there at all, so I'm assuming the at the BSOD its failing to write the dumps to the drive which again points towards the SSD failing.

Could it possibly be the SATA controller on the MB that is failing and not the drive itself? Or maybe the SSD needs a firmware update?

Found the problem,

Crucial M4 SSDs have a bug where after 5200 hours of usage they become unstable and reset themselves every hour.

Fixed with firmware upgrade to 000F incase anyone else finds themselves with the same problem!
