Help with unlocking RAR files

I have 2 RAR files which need passwords to exact the contents but I don't know them.
Any ideas how I can do it?
Have tried a program called rar password recovery it took 23 hours and tried over 866000 combinations using the brute force method but didn't work.
Is there any way of finding the password in the compressed file?

Rar versions v2.9 - 3.3 have some very strong encryption. Unless you have the password, you're looking at a very long wait.

Hmm well unless you know roughly what the password is, or where the file came from, your probably not going to get anywhere.

There is no point in trying to use a brute force app to guess the password.

You either look/think about the password or forget it.
