Generic 24" AOC Monitor with DVI

Got some suggestions mainly used for Gaming and i have a windows 8.1 License

thanks

Could keep the drives, the case (if you want), SSD, RAM, DVD drive and PSU and ofc the monitor. Here's a quick spec up to start with;

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 WindForce 3x OC Rev2.0 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (GV-N780OC-3GD) £379.99
1 x Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £239.99
1 x Gigabyte Z87X-OC Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £158.99
1 x Corsair Hydro H80i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler £71.99
Total : £860.56 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Are you wanting a second monitor? If not then the guy above has gone crazy!

You'll Definitely need a new Psu for that 780.... Bang for buck? Hell no!

You're much better off with a 280x as it will max any game at 1080p with more than enough frames (60fps+) and maybe a new psu invade your current one isn't up to the task (my old ocZ 500w wasn't capable).

Mantle is the bang for buck choice.

If you only game then save 80 and get an i5 as an i7 is better for video editing, streaming etc but has no real enhancements in gaming. With all the money saved you can look at quietening the components and getting better cooling

Heh, if he has a £900 budget why not use it? Perhaps a new PSU then (Superflower 650W or similar), drop the GPU to a 770 or 280X maybe? - probably keep the i7 for future-proofness and also it can cope with pretty much anything right now. With something like that you wouldn't need to upgrade for a few years to come;

Bang for buck? Yes

Yeah I agree partially thinking he should future proof with a good 750/850 and get a 280x.. But I'm pretty sure that our i5s are going to remain capable for a few years to come haha :D

It's not really bang for buck if he's not getting an advantage over the 280x because that gpu gets pretty much 60+ in every game and his monitor is only 60hz so no need to splash for more.

ok thanks for the input guys, will my ram be ok overlocking on say an i5 trying to hit 4.5 ?

do you plan on going sli/xfire(dual gpu) in the future?

if yes

I know its a little over but you're getting a psu that seems to be all the rage currently(and apparently one of the best), one of the top 3-4 air coolers(you can cut it down to a £30-£35 cooler to save some money if you don't plan on a high oc).

and trojan horse before you pipe up about the monitor,the op can upgrade it in the future to a better monitor and still have a gpu capable of 'running' the new monitor.

if you don't plan on xfire you can cut the psu down to 600-750w or another possible build
