hey all im upgrading my other PC basically to make it run little better.

The spec is:

q6600 @ 3.15ghz
BFG nForce 680i
OCZ Vista Upgrade Gold Series 4GB 5400
BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC2 768MB

Already going with:

Corsair Dominator 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 XMS2 PC2-8500C5 TwinX x2
rucial RealSSD C300 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive

But i do not know what GFX card to go for i want something better then the 8800gtx i was thing 560 or 570 but im not sure if that will bottle neck the cpu.

CPU will be OK, may bottleneck the odd game but that will be rare, I suggest a 560. If you want to save money and maybe fancy some overclocking the 460 will still be a massive upgrade over the GTX.

i do not mind the price of the 570 but wasn't sure if it would bottle neck think the 560 will be good to go for,

Yeah the GFX upgrade will give you way more performance than a CPU upgrade. As said can always bag a SB later down the line.

After fiddling around monitoring memory usage this evening I Think I would be concerned about a card with only 1gb of memory.

6950 or 570 instead perhaps? If noise is no issue then the choice becomes a no brainer - go for the 480.
