Hi all
I have had my current PC for 4 years now and have not really changed much inside it apart from the graphics card a couple of years ago.
I am looking at upgrading this machine and will be mainly using it for gaming and then the rest of the use will be listening to music, web browsing and word processing.
The main specs of my setup is currently:
- Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB)
- Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 & DDR3 Motherboard
- GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency Dual Channel
- XFX GeForce GTX 260 "Core 216 55nm" 896MB GDDR3
- Antec P182 Super Midi Tower Case
- Antect True Power (not sure if 550W or 650W off the top of my head)
I currently have 2 HDD's and don't have a SSD but not sure if they are worth the premium? I'm sure someone will shed some light on this!
I have been out of the hardware scene for a little while now and not sure what the best bang for buck is to upgrade my system and whether any of my current setup can be kept whilst replacing some other parts.
I am looking to spend £400-500 if it will help get my PC to a noticable difference.
Any help producing a spec for me would be very much appreciated!
