Hi, I got a new monitor last week (ELECTRIQ 34" WQHD QLED 144HZ CURVED MONITOR).
Previously my old monitor which was broken I used a USB-C to USB-C cable to it and it worked fine with my laptop but this new monitor only has HDMI and Displayport ports on it.
I ordered a USB-C to Displayport cable but it won't display or recognize it being plugged in at all, I then looked at the specs and it said the cable was compatible only with DP-ALT mode on USB-C.
Because the Monitor only allows 100HZ via HDMI I am using a monitor and not getting its full potential (144hz 2k)
Can anyone help me choose the right cable for my laptop for this monitor?

I don't want to waste any more money on a cable that won't work. All cables on Amazon UK say Thunderbolt 3 but I'm not sure if that will work or not?
On the USB-C port on the back of the laptop the logo just has a "D" on it. And I can't find any specific information anywhere on the internet about this model of laptop I have.
