help with usb keyboard

hi guys, iv got a new pc and i need to alter something in the bios. but my usb keyboard wont operate when the pc is booting up, to allow me to hit delete to go into the bios.
i have to use an older style keyboard.
i have checked in the bios when my old keyboard is connected and it does sat usb keyboard and mouse enabled

are you saving the settings to the bios after?

not all usb keyboards do work during boot, ive had an expesive logitech that never would on any system.

are you sure that usb prot works
dont use a hub
try changing the usb legacy mode setting

My GFs old gaming keyboard used to play up in the BIOS, we had to change the legacy USB settings.
